Endodontics is all Dr. Maz does. That focus means every procedure is performed by someone who has done it hundreds of times. About 25 root canals every single week. Not once in a while, like a general dentist.

Dr. Maz is the only IV-sedation-certified endodontist in Beverly Hills. He trained at USC Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry for this certification. No other endodontist in Beverly Hills has it.
You receive medication through a small IV. You fall asleep within seconds. You wake up when it is done. No memory of the procedure at all.
A root canal removes the infected tissue inside your tooth. It stops the pain and saves the tooth from extraction. Dr. Maz performs about 25 of these every single week. That means you are in very experienced hands.
The area is fully numbed first. Most patients feel nothing during the procedure. It takes 60 to 90 minutes. You can return to normal activities the next day.
Sometimes a root canal done elsewhere doesn't heal properly. The infection comes back. The tooth still hurts. Retreatment reopens the tooth, removes the old filling material, and cleans it again with better tools and more precision.
Dr. Maz uses surgical-grade microscopes to find missed canals and remove remaining bacteria. He has saved teeth that other dentists said could not be saved.
An apicoectomy removes the very tip of the tooth root and any infected tissue around it. The opening is sealed with a biocompatible material. It is a minor surgical procedure done under local anesthesia right here in our office.
It is used when infection at the root tip doesn't respond to non-surgical treatment. The rest of the tooth stays in place and continues to function normally.
Dr. Maz always tries to save your natural tooth first. But if it truly cannot be saved, an implant is the most permanent and natural-feeling replacement available today.
A titanium post is placed where the root used to be. A crown sits on top. It looks, feels, and functions like a real tooth. With good care, it can last a lifetime. Dr. Maz also performs bone grafting when the jaw needs preparation first.
If you are in severe tooth pain right now, call or text us. Dr. Maz has seen patients at 2am, on weekends, and on holidays. He answers the emergency line personally.
Most dental emergencies are resolved in a single visit. You don't need a referral. You don't need to wait for a regular slot. Call and we will get you seen as soon as possible.
